NT4 Domain -> 2000 AD

existing domain w/ PDC & BDC.

to rollout 2000/AD controller on new server, I have
installed NT4 Server on new box as BDC in existing domain.

Next step...?

Promote to NT4 PDC, upgrade to Win2000 w/ AD controller?

-OR-

upgrade to Win2000 as BDC, then promote?

Promote to NT4 PDC then upgrade to Windows 2000. You cannot upgrade to a
Windows 2000 BDC because 2000 has no concept of a BDC role.

The correct steps are:
1.- Promote the new NT4 BDC TO PDC
2.- Upgrate the new PDC to W2K
3.- Then upgrate the BDC to W2K
