Upgrade 98 to XP: No sound

K

Kitty

recently upgraded from 98-2nd edition to XP. Works fine
except no sound and Windows Media Player 9 doesn't work.
Did sound diagnostics without fiinding problem. Player 9
requires higher sound card than I have. Speakers are
Boston. QUESTION: if sound card needs upgrade, now what?
Can it be purchased over internet? Computer has Creative
Labs sound card now. Thanks!

Go to the Creative web site and download XP drivers for whatever sound card
you have.

Crumbs, you're lucky! I have exactly the opposite
problem. When I connect to the internet my modem doesn't
stop making a noise. I've done all the checks I can
think of to no avail. Can anyone help please!?
