Updating Patches and OS

Being as wet behind the ears as possible I really appreciate all the help
you folks have provided.
Once again I have another question, How does XPe get updated with the
latest service packs
and virus fixes? I know with other software "WinXP/Win2000" you just go to
the Microsoft
update page and scan for updates on your computer. Is that also available
for XPe?
