Update on MAS now stuck on initial screen

It said there was a new update so I downloaded it. Then it asked me to
reboot which I said no. Then I finished what I was doing and rebooted. It
reboots until it gets to the Microsoft XP with 3 blue bars running underneath
and then just stays there. Forever. The only way I can get onto my computer
now is through safe mode. I don't know what to do. I tried deleting MAS but
that didn't help. Probably stupid. But what do I do?

Have you tried restoring your computer to an earlier time before the problem
occurred?

Yes, I did. I deleted all of MAS and now my computer is working again.
