Build 613 Missed Beta Testing Opportunities

Before I downloaded the new build, I tried the Check for
Updates feature in .509...nothing...no update... = Missed
opportunity for testing.

When I installed the new build, it would have been nice
if the wizard would have asked me to close Outlook, my
Poker game and the running version of MAS...

I'm not certain, but I think because .509 was active the
install took longer (a VERY long time it seemed) and it
cause me to reboot after the install to get the new
features.

Finally, the last missed beta testing opportunity is
testing functionality with the Automatic Windows Update.

All that said...the .613 build installed and all appears
to be working fine.

Great, this is a minor update anyway, beta 2 is suppose to be where the real
stuff happens.

The time delay may have been from the mass of folks who ran out to grab the
product today.
If you had waited a bit, the updater would have delivered the update to you.
(Yeah, as if I would have waited. )

Do you know anyone who was able to get 613 from the updater?

From a BT view, all I really care about is helping make sure the public
rollout goes well.

I haven't seen this update yet, but my understanding is that the required
reboot relates to the capabilities of the installer process (or lack of!)
rather than the specific update process (automatic or manual upgrade.)

I got the update request yesterday Home PC, but cancelled, since I had
downloaded it locally to my work pc and installed, so I just burned it to
CD-RW and then installed it.
