Update for BITS Problems

Every time I try to download the Update, "Update for
Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and
WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)" I get a message that the
download has failed. Anyone have any suggestions?
 
Is XP at service pack 1 or 2? The reason that I ask is that service pack 2
includes the items below and the install should fail.
 
Because BITS 2.0 on WU v5 would have been installed with SP2 or the very
last update of SP1 post cu of V4.

Why are you downloading BITS 2 if you already have SP2?

How did you get SP2 update?

Do you have auto WU turned on?

I'm just curious. ;)

That (though it is not made clear) is an upgrade for earlier versions of
XP. SP2 already includes a later build
