Error Code: 0x80004002

I just reformatted my computer and wanted to upgrade to Service Pack2 but
keep getting this error message : Installation Failure

Error Code: 0x80004002
Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following
resources.
Windows XP Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and
WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773).
Apparently to be able to update to service pack 2 i need this stuff that
aids effective updates. Do i need to configure any registy files? I hope not!

Background Intelligent Transfer Service download is a long way from SP2,after
that/those updates,thiers usually 20-30 more before update gives you the SP2
download.Try microsoft.com,homepage,click on "microsoft update",install the
software,continue updating.
