I don't know what to tell you. Regardless, he did ask a
straight-forward question. I don't know why it needs to become a
production. He probably has it fixed by now, but why not just answer
the question?

I have no idea what he may have meant by "update Cache". Was he referring to
the SoftwareDistribution folder or perhaps one of its subfolders or contents
of one of the subfolders?
Furthermore, I prefer not give anyone information or advice that may have
unintended, unwanted, and/or possibly dangerous effects on a machine, thank
you.

The *cache* isn't involved here. (Why didn't you begin a new thread if you
