Hi all, I hope this question finds all doing fairly well. I had terrible
time try to install clean copy of Vista Business. I finally wiped my hard
drive clean again and reinstalled Window XP Home edition, which has a weak
crummy fax program. One can only send a cover sheet with no following
pages. I would like to upgrade to XP Professional if it had full true fax
program. Does anyone know if it does?

Thanks in advance.

Home Edition's FAX is the same as that in Pro. If you don't like it, get a
different FAX program. Hell, even if Pro's WAS better, you can get a decent
faxing program for a lot less money than a Pro upgrade!

Are you by any chance running the fax console instead of choosing "fax" when
you print the document?

The Fax Service prints as many pages as you send to it. Learn to use
the Fax printer (i.e., *print* your document from whatever application
you are using and select to use the Fax printer).

If you want better faxing software, you'll have to get it separately
as a 3rd party product. The Fax Service is what you get in WinXP Pro.
Actually, I didn't think it was included in the Home version but maybe
you can installed it separately from the install CD.

I can't answer your question, since I don't fax from my computer. But I'll
point out that you can buy a stand-alone fax machine on sale for much less
than the cost of XP Professional (mine was $20), and I think it's much more
convenient.

Thanks all for responded. There sure is a lot kind folks willing to share
their intellectual property :-). Yes, I know about the send property of
'File' only I would rather not go through a third pary. Seems like society
already knows hoW many sheets of tp I use, no sense giving them anymore...
but then again, I stopped worring once for five minutes but then started
worring to why I wasn't worrying. :-)
It was with Windows 98, that windows fax program I could fax many pages.
And, I think that Office 2000(?) had a good fax program too. Anyway, I nice
Canon Fax Machine... I did pay more than 20 bucks though... could've paid a
so lot more though. Gadgets, hun?

Office 2000 had a simplified version of Symantec WinFAX. Symantec has
"retired" (aka: dropped) WinFAX. They are not supporting it anymore.

I use Mighty Fax, have been using it since the days of Windows98. It's an
inexpensive program ($20, I think) that has a fax printer (for faxing word
documents) and a scan to fax for scanning documents with your scanner to
fax. I'm using it with XP Pro right now and they might have a vista
version, but I'm not sure. You can check on
