Unwanted IE6 browsers opening - HELP!

H

Howard

As soon as I launch IE6 I get adware streaming in.
Sometimes I get an Expedia page inserted on top of my
home page. When I activate Ad Blocking in Norton
Internet Security, I still get browsers trying to open.

They show up in the too bar but don't have a domain name
and can't be maximized or restored. I usually have at
least one (they say " -Microsoft Internet
Explorer" with no domain). They also show up in the Task
Manager as additional instances of IE running. In
addition to being totally annoying, they are using up
resources.

I'm running IE6, SP1 with latest updates as of today.
Machine is Dell 8250, 2.4ghz, 768mb RAM and Windows XP
Pro SP1.

I run Spyware Blaster and spybot-S&D but they don't seem
to help.

Any ideas before I go totally crazy?

Thanks...
