Help - IE6 won't make itself the deafult browser.

I normally use FF as my default browser, but I've decided that I want to set
IE6 was the default browser. However, this is harder than I thought.

In IE6, I went to Tools > Internet Options > Programs, and I checked the box
that says something like, "Internet Explorer will check to see if it's the
default browser". After checking that box, I would hit "Apply" and "OK".
Then, I would restart.

Except, that isn't working. I've even restarted my PC, but I never get the
message asking me if I want to set IE6 as the default browser. I thought the
problem was in FF, because I had also checked a box that makes FF see if it's
the default browser. I unchecked that and re-did my steps, but I got no
solution.

Do I have to un-install FF to get IE6 to be the default browser? What do I
have to do?

If you are using XP, try this: Go to Start..
Programs...Accessories....System Tools...Set Program Access and Defaults and
set IE as the default there.
