Unusual Runtime 216 error

E

Eric

I've searched all the Knowledge Base and even Google and
haven't found this one, which occurs often when exiting
IE6 (latest version, all updates, all Windows updates
done).

I am running Windows XP (Home Edition). Upon exiting the
last IE6 window, I receive:

::::::::::::
The instruction at "0x013f3812" referenced memory
at "0x014b28cc". The memory could not be "read". Click on
OK to terminate the program.
::::::::::::

When clicking on "OK" I receive the error:
Runtime error 216 at 013F3812

The "referenced memory" changes from instance to instance
(of error), but it's always "at 013F3812"

Can anyone shed any light on this?

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
