Unsolvable problem?

I have quite a simple problem and it goes like this.

When I'm using I.E. and add a favorite website to the favorite folder, the
icon has a picture from that site, but the next time i use I.E. the icon has
changed to the blue E default one. Hope this makes sence. Thanks for your
time.

Hi,

IE6's use of Favicons can be unpredictable.

Favicons are kept in the Temporary Internet Files folder and are eventually
replaced by newer files or are cleared when the TIF is cleared. If you're
clearing the Temporary Internet Files, you're deleting your favicons.

These programs (freeware) will preserve favicons:
