Unsent Messages in Windows Mail

Martin Wilkinson

I have tried most of the patches and solutions suggested but no luck so far.
I have deleted and recreated my account, I have changed the smtp server from
my e-mail provider to my broadband provider and back agin. I have delted the
mail and cleaned my outbox etc.
I ways get the same error message:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Fried', Account:
'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'smtp.sky.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I am sure that it is linked to McAfee not liking Windows Mail, but how do I
solve it?

See point 3 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 Uninstall McAfee and then
delete your account , close and reopen WinMail, and add it back again.

Also check the port settings for the sky.com SMTP server and verify they are
correct.
