of 2 accounts both using smtp sky.
error reads
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'www.( I
have altered this logon myself for anonymity) ', Server: 'smtp.sky.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number:
0x800CCC0E
I have deleted and re created both mail accounts, still receiving ok.
Using vista premium home, avg, sky broadband for outgoing, 3rd party hosting

Is AVG scanning your email? If it is, that's the likely source of your
trouble. Uninstall AVG and do a custom re-install WITHOUT the email
scanning module. Email scanning is redundant, not necessary, and usually
only serves to cause problems with email flow.

Does your connection to smtp.sky.com cross from one internet provider's
equipment to another's? If so, such connections to port 25 are often
blocked to cause trouble for spammers.

Have you checked your setup for the connection to Sky?

If you can't read .pdf files, see here for the software to do this:

Don't install the Google Toolbar - it causes problems in Windows
Mail.
