Unreadable cd-rw with NTFS

I installed a new hard drive (80 gb) in an existing system,
using NTFS. Now my cd-rom will only recognize cd-r disks;
it freezes up trying to read cd-rw's. The cd-rom would
read fine before. Any suggestions?

No.

I'm not sure how formatting a hard drive with NTFS would cause your CD-Rom
drive to not read CD-RW disks any longer. I assume that your new hard drive
is connected to the IDE channel. Does it share a cable with your CD Rom
drive? If so, confirm the Master/Slave/Cable Select setting for both devices
and make sure they conform to your system's recommendations.
