help!

when i start up the computer, it goes to the welcome
screen and shows the different accounts on this computer.
under mine, for some reason is says that i have 54 unread
messages, but i can't figure out where these messages
are (they don't seem to be e-mail, at least they're not
detectable with outlook). does anyone know what these
messages are or where i can find them? thanks.

It is supposed to relate to a Hotmail or similar account - but often
seems to get it wrong. Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if
you have installed XP SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP!, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

On its Logon - Unread mail, uncheck the box to disable the service
