unread messages

i need to find ouot how i can change the time that a new inbox message
remains "unread". i have outlook 2003 and we have personal e-mail folders.
when i select and drag a message to the corresponding personal folder it
marks the message read.
how can i simply extend the time that the message says "unread"?

Hi,

To change the time on automatically marking messages as read in the Reading Pane, follow these steps

1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab.
2. Click Reading Pane.
3. Select the Mark items as read when viewed in the Reading Pane check box, and then type a number in the Wait n seconds before marking item as read box.
