unread messages

I didn't set a correct server name in outlook express on the admin account
and couldn't send emails from it until I'd altered the server name. I must
have left four unread messages in the inbox before changing the settings and
now have that message, ie '4 unread messages' under the admin logo when
logging on, even though there's nothing in the admin accounts inbox. How
can I get rid of themessage?
