Unread Email Messages

Kevin

When I start Windows XP Home, my user accout loggin says I have 15 unread
email messages, but I do not have any unread email messages. The email
account is correct. There are no emails on the mail server. How can I fix
this? Thanks, Kevin

Hi

You can download TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and when
installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI - then go to
Logon>Unread Mail - disable it in the right hand pane.

Will,

Spot on advice. I had been using the repair function with SP1, but did not
work with SP2.

Thanks

I also want to add my thanks for this suggestion. The same thing has
plagued me for days and I was really struggling looking for answers all over
the place.
