When XP home boots to my log in screen, there is a message under my name and icon that states I have unread mail messages. Clicking on this message shows the email addresses that supposedly have unread messages. Problem is that I DON'T have any unread messages in Outlook or Outlook express ( I use Outloook for one email service and Express for another that is rarely used). The email addresses shown in the "urnread email messages" are those I use with Out;look. How can I get rid of this incorrect message on my login screen?

Hi

You can download TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and when
installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI - then go to
Logon>Unread Mail - disable it in the right hand pane.
