Hi...can anyone help me? On Account login page i have
note under my name (administrator account) that i have
unread mail messages. I have no un read mail and i think
what i have to do is go into 'regedit' and set the
counter back to '0'. can anyone tell me how to do this
as would hate to mess around in something i am not sure
about.
Thanks

The very knowledgable Alex Nichol posted this to the forum just hours ago...

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Repair - select 'Repair Unread Mail count' will reset the count: its
Logon - Unread Mail has a box to uncheck to turn the matter off
