unread e-mails looking like they've been read already?

When I quickly scroll down my e-mail list they all become unhighlighted
immediately so they look read when they haven't been. Is there a time delay
so I have to open the e-mail for them to be read or at least be "on" the
e-mail for 5 seconds first... before it looks as though I've read it?

Hello:

This is a newsgroup for questions about the database management program
called Microsoft Access, not a newsgroup for "access" to Microsoft. You
would probably be better off in a newsgroup devoted to whatever e-mail
package you are using.

Did you check Help?

This a common setting for Outlook or Outlook Express. So I would try
clicking around anything that resembles or sounds like Settings,
Preferences, Options. I wouldnt be shocked if you tripped over it.

While you're at it (i.e. clicking around), make casual notes of other
things/settings you see. They may answer some of your future questions.
