I've heard/read that uninstalling Zone Alarm can be difficult. Or
rather, getting rid of all the ZA stuff that's left behind (vector for
example) is difficult. I'm about to uninstall ZA (v5.5.094.00).

If you have a procedure that's given you good results, please post.

Perhaps you could try booting into safe mode first. This should prevent
ZoneAlarm from starting up, and make it easier to uninstall.

Good idea. Wish I'd done it. <g> I ended up using the instructions
given by Fredw & located here:
http://www.nohold.net/noHoldCust25/Prod_1/Articles55646/clean_install.html

Someone else gave another url that was even better (included list of
"must-deletes") but forgot to copy the url down & the message isn't
indexed by google.

I still had to go through the registry to check for instances of Zone,
ZA, etc. But I'm pretty confident that I've a clean system now.

thanks,
-Craig
