Do I take it that you have a machine with XP Home on one partition and XP
Pro on another?

Please drop home and stay with pro

I'm a little unclear as to what you're asking.

If you installed one OS over the other then, provided you archived the
previous configuration and kept the uninstall files, you can run the
uninstall from Add/Remove programs. If a previous OS did not exist then you
could back up data, fdisk the drive and install whatever OS you desire.

Hope this helps,

By the way: There is in uninstall procedure for XP. You will need to
delete the XP partition and re-do the install.

Also, how can Home work in Pro??
