ReInstallion of Windows XP Professional

I am using "Windows XP Professional with SP3 (Single User)"...
However due to some virus issue(s), I'm planning to go for a clean Format of
my entire HDD and reinstall the OS. Will I be able to activate it after
installion?

I'm asking this because I've already activated it & thus will microsoft
allow me to activate it in the same machine after I reinstall XP Pro?

Not only will they let you, they HAVE to let you as the rule is you can
reinstall XP as many times as you like on the same machine. If Internet
activation doesn't work, use the phone option, wait for a live operator
and tell him or her what you did. I wouldn't activate, however, until
you're happy with the set up, installed all your programs, devices, etc.

Yes.

There is no limit on how many times you can activate a retail/oem copy of
Windows XP on a single given machine. Might have to activate by telephone
at some point.
