Is it possible to uninstall Windows 95 from an older computer and then
reinstalling Windows XP onto it?
The reason I'm wanting to do this is to then join these two computers here
at home on a network system. I would appreciate all help available on this.
Thanks.

Check your old computer to make sure it's big enough to
run XP.

XP recommends a 300 MHz processor or higher, a 128 MB of
RAM, and a minimum of 1.5 Gig hard drive. XP will not
work optimally on a system with those minimum
requirements but it will work.

Good luck! :)

You don't need to uninstall Win95, but you will need a "full install"
WinXP cd, not an "upgrade."

You can use the upgrade version of XP to clean install XP. The Windows 95 CD
will work as the qualifier. But I doubt XP would work on a computer that
shipped with 95.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.
