Uninstall and Reinstall Windows Games?

I've been getting frequent mouse and card freezes with Spider Solitaire. I
have not had the problem with Word or any other applications.
Could it be that this game has become unstable or corrupted? It has been
played ten times a day for four years!
Is it possible, as I believe it was with Windows 95, to uninstall and then
reinstall the Windows games?
Might that be a solution?

If you have the win cd you use the Add/remove dialogue to access win
components

Have you checked Event Viewer for any clues?

I have checked the event viewer and there are never any relating to mouse or
Windows lockups.

Since the only lockups I experience are with this Windows game (even with
the "animation" turned off), is it reasonable to think the problem might be
here--and that uninstalling and reinstalling it might be in order?
