Uninstalling outlook 2007 and going back to office XP

I was running the Beta version of Office 2007 for a few months and recently
uninstalled it when the trial expired.

I then re-installed Office XP/2002. However, when accessing my outlook
accounts (multiple profiles), the XP office version of Outlook cannot open my
mail folders. I can open any created personal folders, but not the main
foler (with inbox, outbox, sent emails etc).

I have searched and searched around the MS support info, and can find
information on converting back to Outlook 2003, but I don't have 2003! After
trying many many solutions, none have work and I have just re-installed a new
trial version of office 2007 (selected Outlook only), in order that I can
access my in boxes once more.

Now.... before I uninstall again... how can I ensure my pst files open in
Outlook XP/2002 once I have uninstalled the trial?

Lookinfor forward to getting this sorted!

This newsgroup is for questions about Access. You'd be best off reposting to
a newsgroup related to Outlook.

Yes, you are likely to get better help from an Outlook group but I would
export all my folders from 2007 and then import them in XP.

The problem is that you won't know if this works without uninstalling 2007,
installing XP and trying the import since two versions of Outlook cannot
coexist.

I know... that's why I posted this question in the Outlook forum... why its
here too I have no idea!
