Uninstalled DVD Rom on accident

I accidently uninstalled my DVD/CDRW rom in device
manager, and now i dont know how to get it back....when i
run the add hardware wizard, it doesnt detect it. Any
suggestions on how to return the drive?

Josh, just restart and WinXP will see it and reinstall. You may have to
reinstall the drivers.

Ive restarted and it still doesnt detect the drive

Hi,
You may have to go 1 step further and delete ALL drives then.
Don't worry as I have not heard of any instance where
any EXTRA damage was caused going that far.

Everything is redetected and much better chance that XP completely succeeds.
