HI GUYS, I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE. I AM A BIT OF A NOVICE.
MY DAUGHTER RECENTLY UNINSTALLED A CD ROM WE HAD LOADED
INTO THE COMPUTER, AND AS IT WAS BEING REMOVED IT APPEARED
TO TAKE PLENTY OF OTHER FILES WITH IT.
NOW WHEN I GO TO ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS, IT COES UP WITH A
MESSAGE READING : COULD NOT REMOVE PROGRAM, UNABLE TO
LOCATE UNINST.ISU.
AS I AM SUCH A NOVICE IN THESE AREAS, CAN ANYONE HELP ME
SO I CAN GET MY FILES ALL BACK IN ORDER AND REMOVE ALL THE
ONES THAT ARE NOW LOST IN THE SYSTEM..
THANKYOU TRACEY.

That missing uninst.isu is a file that the uninstall process needs (it a log
of the files the setup installed in the first place). Maybe you deleted the
file manually, or the folder that contained the file?
I don't think you can get back any of the removed files, except by either
reinstalling the siftware, or repairing or reinstalling Windows (depending
on which files are missing and which Windows version you are using).
In any case, this is not a MSI problem, and therefore this is not the best
place to ask your question. I'd suggest you contact the manufacturer of that
software on the CD. Only they will know what their setup and uninstall
programs do, and what might be going wrong.
