uncontrollable scrolling

I'm hoping someone can help. I've been reading posts about uncontrollable
scrolling problems, (where webpages and other applications scroll to the top
when trying to scroll down) but none of the solutions have worked for me. I
also have the problem where the cursor moves to the beginning of the sentence
when i try to type and unless i have the "end" button held down, i can type
forward.
I've had the entire keyboard replaced (i have a laptop) and i've also
disabled the built in mouse and tried using different mice that i have
plugged into the USB. So i'm not sure what to do next. Also tried the
sticky keys and click lock options as well as the smooth scrolling options.
Any other ideas??
Thanks!

Well, I'm still having this problem. Suggestions were re-installing Word,
and checking whether the microphone was trying to type what it heard.
Nothing seems to work.

The most likely cause is a corrupt video driver.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the video device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.

I see Legacy Video Capture Devices and Video Codec under the Sound, video and
game controllers. There wasn't an uninstall option, only a Remove option. I
removed and restarted, and tried to update the driver, but there were no
updates better than the one I had. Still having the problem...

Click Start, Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. If any files are damaged
or missing, they'll be replaced. Reboot.
