Even after trying all update fixes I could find in this news group, including
running the GIANTAntiSpywareUpdater.exe file, downloading the whole thing
from the third party site, completely removing the original 615 version,
re-downloading to new locations etc, I was still struggling with the
expiration date problem.
After clearing the Internet Explorer Cache, including all local files, I
downloaded from Microsoft and it updated fine. It's a simple thing, I know,
but it had me going for about an hour!
I hope this helps somebody else.
