I had windows vista for about 6 months now and until recently never had a
problem with email. However, now when I click the send/receive I get a pop
up window from windows security asking to login with verifying my username
and password which I have apparently forgotten because everything I've tried
doesn't work.

The windows mail window has a message that reads "sorry, errors occured
while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below
for more details. The error list reads as follows:

Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR user id must be specified', Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91

I've uninstalled Norton and that didn't seem to make any difference. Any
help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

To be sure Norton is no loner impacting your email it is worthwhile
to remove and recreate you account within Windows Mail because
there have been instances of Nortons footprints corrupting the account.

It is certainly a possibility that should be eliminated.
