As of 8/5/09 I'm unable to send/receive emails in Vistamail

As of just a few days ago, I also lost the ability to send or receive emails.
The
error message is the same as the two or three other users who have recently
reported this problem. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server:
'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid command',
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91
I changed my SMTP port from 25 to 587, but still being blocked.

A window pops up asking to verify both the username and password are correct
for my mail server. I have never had to enter this information.

You only included a receive error, so I can't comment on your send failure.

For the receive problem, go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account,
Properties, Servers. Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password
Authentication."

Seanlorimer, I don't recall advising you to do anything. Each issue is unique,
often requiring expert analysis to determine what's wrong -- and which
specific fix to apply.

Start a new thread, one thread per issue, describe the details of your
problem, and include a copy of any error messages.
