Unable to rediect email to an outside account

I am trying to redirect in coming email from an exchange 2003 email account
running outlook 2003 to an outside email address. Outlook's rules are pretty
straight forward. Is the any security setting on an exchange server that
would block this or am i missing something?

That would probably qualify as an Automatic Reply to the Internet, a
function which is disabled by default in Exchange Server due to the
potential for run-away email loops. I don't know where the setting is in
Exchange 2003, however, in Exchange 5.5 you can select an Alternate
Recipient for a mailbox (Delivery Options tab under Mailbox Properties) that
can be an external Internet address (a Custom Recipient). I'm fairly sure
Exchange 2003 has the same setting.
