Unable to read slave disk (dymanic disk) after master crash

I have a Windows 2000 system with two physical hard disks. The master
disk crashed, so I installed a new hard drive and re-installed
windows. Now, the slave disk cannot be seen by Windows - Disk
management says it is "foreign" and shows no partition information for
it or anything.

Is there any way I can restore the slave disk? I don't remember what
partitions if any I had on it, just that I have some important data
there (largely a copy of the master disk - sigh). I didn't even
realize I'd made this a dymanic disk...

You should be able to use "Import Foreign Disks" from within Disk
Management in order to access volumes on the disk. Also, be aware that you
might need to take ownership and set correct permissions in order to access
your data.
