How old is your computer? On my older one (its 6 yrs old now) the cd rom wouldnt read cd's anymore, and it just so happens that it was just wore out. It doesnt only have to be an old computer. My friend just bought a new E-Machine and the DVD combo drive stopped reading cd's as well. That computer is only like 4 months old. I think it may be possible that its just defective. That or it wasnt put together right when it was made and the cables inside came lose somehow. These might all be things to check.
You must slide the CD onto the tray, insert, and then autoplay or use
whatever application you prefer to playback the music. Next time don't be
so vague in your description.
