Cannot get CD to play

I have Windows XP. I do not play CD's often but today when I tried to play
one, it would not play music. The computer would not recognize the CD other
than show the tracks on the Control Panel folder. I tried to open the Media
Player and the Media Center but neither will open. I recently added iTunes
software to my computer. Would that have anything to do with the CD not
playing? Any help is great appreciated. Jack

Try downloading media player from Microsoft .. re-install it .. see if that
improves things.
