Unable to open .xls from file

I have a Windows 2000 machine running Excel 2000. On clicking on a .xls file
Excel displays a message " Cannot find the file 'File Location' (Or one of
its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all
required libraries are available.

If you Open Exel first and chose 'File' 'Open' the file opens fine. It is a
profile related problem as when you login as another user the fault does not
occur. The User has admin rights on the local machine.

Any ideas on a quick fix other than deleting the profile?

Click on Tools, Options, select the General tab, and untick Ignore other

Kassie,

Any Idea on how to solve this with Excel 2007. Where do I find the Tools,
all the tabs are different than I am used to?
