unable to open programs after net use

I'm running xp and after I get on the net a while later
I'm not able to open any programs. I can open a folder
and look inside but I can't open nero or photoshop,
etc... I also am running Norton's Antivirus. Please
help.
 
Have you tried to start the .exe file associated with these programs?
