unable to open desktop file at times.

I have a number of excel files that I use on a regular
basis that I have on my desktop for easy access. If I
have a couple files open that I am working on, I can open
the desktop file by clicking on the icon. However, if I
have a number of files open then I get no response and
therefore I am not able to open the desktop file. Could
you please suggest some corrections I need to make in
order to correct this.

Hi, Ed.

Excel files can be big! big! Too many may run you out of memory. I would
expect a message, but then it may be worth checking.
