unable to loop the music

I want to insert a piece of MP3 music which is shorter than my slideshow.
How can I loop the music?

Go to custom animation and double click the entry for the music.

In effects set stop playing after number of slides
In timing set repeat (however many times are needed)

I put repeat 2 or 3 times and stop playing after 31 or 40 slides (my
slideshow only has 31 slides) but it still didn't work.
