Unable to load certain software

Hi guys and gals, I have been havbing a problem with my
pc its a fairly new sony and i have just strated using
freeserve broadband. but since broadband has been
installed some software wont open like excel,outlook,word
and stuff like that also i have a sony digital camera
which was working fine but again since installing
broadband we are havin issues. when we take the memory
card out of the cam and out it into the pc its fine and we
can see the thumbnails withr the pics but i am unable to
do anything else it i cant open them edit them or delete
them any ideas. this has only started since installing
freeserve broadband. thanks

Are (were) you running a firewall all the time, particularly
with the broadband?

I suspect that you have some virus?
