Unable to Hear Sound on My Laptop

When I start up my computer, I get the following error
message:

'windows cannot find C:\windows\systems32\unldr.exe'

I can click through it but the end result is that I do
not have any sound on my computer.

My operating system is Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition
Version 2002

I checked my drivers and all seems okay. I have a Yamaha
AC-XG Audio Device.

Can someone direct my on what to do to fix this problem,
please?
