Unable to create disk-based web-site

I am trying to create a draft corporate web-site using
the Corporate Presence Template before it is approved for
uploading to the host. However, I get the error message:

Unable to create disk-based web because its parent Web
would not be a disk-based Web. Create the disk-based Web
elsewhere, outside of your Web server's document
hierarchy.

How can I create this (or any other) disk-based web
(using the templates) on my system before uploading? As
far as I know, I'm not yet connected to a server.

Where are you attempting to create the disk-based web (DBW)
It must be a file/folder path such as: C:\MyCorporateWeb\
- not a URL or lower level folder that is under a server web folder

I'm trying to create the DBW in:

C:\Documents and Settings\J C Carol\My Documents\My Webs\

The My Webs folder is already a default FP web

- try C:\Documents and Settings\J C Carol\My Documents\My Webs\MyWebName

- better still try a top level folder w/o any spaces in the folder name like C:\MyWebName
