unable to access chat rooms

help! new computer w/ XP and I am now no longer able to
access chat rooms. Is there something I need to turn
off/ on?

Do you receive an error when trying to access chat rooms. Are you saying
you cannot access any chat rooms at any site or just at a specific site?

sometimes it just come up with the red "x" instead of
the "press button to load" symbol, sometimes I click it
and nothing happens.

What chat client are you using, does it only happen at one chat site or all
chat sites, do you have Java installed. You can check Java installation at
