Chat Rooms

Can't open any chat rooms on my p/c (xp) I've opened up the firewall, stopped
the pop up blocker, opened up the java in the pc, but still cant get in. The
chat room boxe's pop up like they did on my old p/c (windows 98) but the
point on the box which you have to click on is replaced by a little red cross
which stops access!! any help would be good thanks,

This is not the right group for this but I'll try to help.

Please define what you mean by "Opened up the Java." Windows XP does not
have a Java Virtual Machine installed. If you have not installed a JVM, you
would need to go to www.java.com and install Sun's version.

If you still have a problem thereafter, we'd need to know what chat software
you are using.

Accessibility on this newsgroup refers to the XP Accessibility Options nor
accessing sites or files. You might do better with a question of this type
on one of the Internet Explorer newsgroups or, if you are using specialized
chat software, checking the website for that software for more help.

To access Yahoo chat.. go to www.yahoo.com and download Yahoo messenger..
access chat rooms through that..
