UMAX 610S not seen by XP

I've using XP for over a year. My Umax 610S scanner has
worked since day one, providing I either turn it on
before I start the PC or I use COntrol Panel Add
HArdware. I've loaded the XP updates. Today, XP no longer
recognizes the scanner. All it shows is the 610P scanner.
Suggestions?

Have you downloaded and installed the correct drivers from
the Umax website? If not go here to do so:

http://www.umax.co.uk/support/default.htm

As you can see this is the UK website, if you are in the US
you should be able to navigate from here, although they are
probably both the same.
