Uh-oh

During the install of the device driver for my Saitek rumble pad, the
install seemed to stop responding. I got a message about the driver being
not intended for use with XP, but since it has worked before, I continued.
After the install, I tried accessing My Computer. It took over 30 seconds
to open. I went iinto the control panel/system. There is nothing in the
device manager. So I then uninstalled the Saitek driver and reinstalled it.
This time the install worked fine and the controller works properly, but it
still takes over 30 seconds to access My Computer and the device manager is
still shows nothing.

Any deas on how to fix this?

Thomas,

1. Please see if you installed some additional background applications along with the driver (Task Manager).
2. Check Event Viewer (Start - > Settings -> Control Panel - > Administrative Tools - > Event Viewer) for possible errors.

Good Luck!
